At Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces the Flux of the Matter was my first major solo exhibition. The works in this show were made around the central idea of humour and its various forms. Or Nothing 2007 approached art jokes made through out the Western art canon treating them even more irreverently in a slapstick style. Stand Up 2007 approached the more tragic side of stand up comedy, the simple head proposing a manifesto for art making to its canned laughter audience.

This exhibition was helped by an emerging artist grant from the Australia Council for the Arts.
